“Zip” – a – dee – Doo – Da……

It started out as an innocent trip to Dollywood………..I mean….doesn’t that look like an innocent face??? Sorta creepy smile but hey…….one day some man will find that sweet creepy smile beautiful ; )
Then we “three” got a “hankering” to do the Zip Line through the beautiful Mtns Surrounding Dollywood………and apparently I got the “hankering” to stick half of my bangs in my helmet……THE ENTIRE TIME……and my sweet angelic children didn’t tell me…..thought I was looking all Mountainy ,explorer woman cool…….and then I got to see this sweet photo at the END of the tour. Which by the way, made beautiful bang head after we finished this tour for the remaining hours in dollywood……made for GREAT photos.

So they didn’t tell me about my bangs……..well apparently they were a little busy contemplating other things……..like………..
Ummmmmm…….mom, should we be doing this?

Ummmm…….mom, why are you so pale?

Me??? Pale??? Nahh…..just the elevation….yeah that’s what it is…..

Gulp……See those little dots……….PEOPLE……that we were going to go over on our first lower zip line……..yeppers……..I said lower.Yep….smart little people, who didn’t hike up this mountain with us with all of this heavy equipment on ….HEAVY equipment…..lots of hiking and yeppers……that was a surprise too…….sorta like the surprise that I keep saying “yeppers”…..

You know smart people who didn’t take their precious babies up to the top of the smokies to realize…..”hey….isn’t my biggest fear heights?”………and hey isn’t my precious baby girl taking a picture of my big ole hiney right before I die??? Yeppers……..that would be me.

It was too late though……..Free Bird and Challenger had made it across and my 14 year old “Challenger” was over there, I know, waiting for me to chicken out…………

And I didn’t………….ZIP A DEE DOO DA!!!!!!!!!!! Even when Challenger had the team leader start shaking the cable where you spin and move and feel like you are getting ready to plummet to your humiliating death in your beloved Dollywood…….
Remember those little people……the Challenger 165 feet over them………………bye son……..mommy’s got your back……..Course I was a little woozie at this point……starting to break out in a cold sweat so he was able to avoid me giving the “mommy loves you yell” as I was sorta holding it together at this point…………
Free bird…………….loving it…………….look HOW HIGH SHE IS!!!!
He was so INTENSELY into it…………would take running from back of deck to out over the ledge……..well…………so I had to……….and I DID !!!!!!

In his head right now are thoughts of “I am so doing this again in an even more dangerous way”………..I promise……..he was in his element. Was neat to watch his fearlessness……..

I mean………how do you zipline and look sooooo cute?

If we coulda’ gotten some scholarships on “pretty”……..dang……she would have had it made for college ; )

I will have you know. I have a terrible, real fear of heights. I watched “dirty jobs” the other day when they were washing windows on highrisers and truly thought a panic attack was going to set in………..It took that first leap of faith……………and after that……….

It was truly one of the most awesome experiences for my children and myself.

Never shut our eyes once….except when I thought I was going to pass out and prayed over all of us….but besides then…

Memories were made…………

Can’t wait for next time!!!

Zipp a dee do daaa, Zipp a dee A……my oh my what a wonderful……sweet……precious day!

Love,

Me
