Soulmates!

We made it to our destination for the seminar in a timely manner………………..
great place…….
Old but homey…..
Just teasing………..
But I would stay here if I could clean it first…….isn’t it neat and beautiful in it’s own way.
Romeo wouldn’t let me go in.
It was abandoned….and lonely.
I was dying to explore.

These old homes have so many stories to tell…………..
Gonna’ have to work with Romeo on that whole breaking and entering thing he has a problem with.

But he has come a long way……..
He stopped at every beautiful spot with no regards to a schedule for us to capture memories on our way to our seminar…….
He was constantly saying……..let’s catch a picture of this, or this……..

I do love that man……
He knew leaving was tough.

and he knew stopping to see and enjoy these sites gave me the “peace” I needed to absorb for a bit.

He took this one…….he’s so good that way.
I love these thingys.
They are water control structures that “back in the day”, were used to flood the rice fields……
Just looking at it speaks history to me…….

It was a sweet, beautiful ride………

and we landed in a tranquil place………

They left the light on for us…….
Get it?

Then to top off a productive weekend…..tonight we met Freebirds soulmate….
She doesn’t know it and neither did he.
Soulmate is her “new word”……
Hot guy = Soul mate…..
I called her the other day and told her that our Pastor said that Soul Mates are right between unicorns and leprechauns….they are not real………
She said, “Mom, that is not true…..I have 15 of them!!”…….
She didn’t take that well…….
So……
Hot guy = Soul Mate

And this boy was a sweetie…….works hard…..finishing college………
I arranged their marriage and they both don’t know it…..

I decided to arrange their marriage once I found out that this rolled up pants leg did not signify he was in a gang …..
and to make sure of that…….
I asked him.
He said….
“Ummmmm…….no………I have ruined four pairs of jeans with getting grease on this leg from this chain………”
Oh……….
oops
Glad he wasn’t in a gang as I had the wedding cake ordered and the date planned.
I also let him know that Dawn dishwashing detergent would take out the grease from his jeans.
I’m sure that helpful hint took away the whole awkwardness of the “are you in a gang” comment…..
I think he was hoping I would become his mother-in-law.

Came back from our ride with my future son-in-law to warm desserts and hot tea and this time has come to an end and we will be heading back tomorrow.

Time for me to whip this man into shape….
the one on the left…..the one on the  right…..well, I’m getting him there…..
but as for daddy
He needs me.
He probably has cried at night without me there………
Bet mom just hasn’t told me that he has because she didn’t want me worried.
I know that has to be it.
I bet my brother is driving him insane……
He has loved your letters and comments……
Truly……I thank you all.
and because you were all sooooooo sweet……..

I will invite you to the “surprise” wedding.
Freebird is going to be so excited!
and I’m sure this young man will be too once he finds out!
See you soon daddy…..
Your favorite daughter is on her way back home!
Love,
Me
