The name fits……….

Baby Brother Brat took his shift with daddy…..

Poor Dadddy……

He would miss me hogging his bed and begging for headrubs……
Keeps daddy tough!
I take the tough love nursing approach…..
You know….the approach of……daddy, rub my head….daddy, rub my feet….daddy, daddy, go get me a coffee….daddy, why don’t you sit in your chair so I can lay down……
It’s good for him.
It builds his strength……
.

Baby brother brat must have thought dad didn’t like sleeping in the chair like I say he does……
He brought a sleeping bag.
He’s such a pushover.

He’ll pull his shift, then I come in after he leaves and usually have to pick up his slack.
Clean up his messes.
Put dads oxygen back in that he had been sitting on and had pinched the whole time…..
Get daddy dressed….cleaned up..make sure he had his meds…….you know little things like that, that baby brother brat may overlook….
His mission is history channel and free food.
He is daddy’s willing little errand boy though when he arrives……always wanting to know what daddy needs for coffee or snacks from the cafeteria….I’m so onto him.

They will be out of every straw, condiment, salt and pepper packet and splenda pack when daddy goes home.
Baby Brother leaves out smiling with a trail of Splenda, following him each shift………
Daddy is such a pushover.
Today, before he could leave, he had a little mystery going on I needed to solve .
Soft Christmas music was playing in daddy’s room and we could not figure out where it was coming from.
We looked everywhere.
I would follow him around the room and he was moving things and standing up on chairs listening by the ceiling looking for a hidden speaker.
The nurse had no clue where it was coming from.
We definitely could hear it…….
It was starting to get a little freaky……because she couldn’t hear it anywhere else…
Then baby brother walked down the hall and came back in and said….
“No….I can definitely hear it down in the hall too”
and it hit me
“Ummmm….baby brother…..it’s you…..”
“Where is your phone?”
and his face reddened……
“Oh, yeah”…… He said.

“I had it on Slacker Radio for the kids the other day……I must have hit it again”…..
It was in his pocket.
Name seems fitting doesn’t it?
Poor daddy…..I know he is so glad I’m back.
Time to get daddy back into shape and out of his bed and into his chair…..
I’m sleepy.
Love,
Me
