Gotta’ pea…….

My mother would be very disappointed reading this post title.
It’s a joke.
I don’t have to potty.
Well, I do….. but I can hold it.
For real.
But my next project while I wait for my Roman Shade curtain lining fabric to come in because of this southern sun that will beat in my breakfast room windows……shewwwwww……no commas makes me breathless…………..but anyways……while I wait for the roman shade project to be started……..
I’m going to do this project.
You can read all about it on this cute little blog…..
But hold your horsies….I want to tell you what I’m thinking first.
She gives two great tutorials…..
A kids version and an adult version.
I should probably stick with the kids version.
But I refuse.
I have graduated……remember?
But in the spirit of my project attempts……which spirit is that, you ask?
You know which spirit.
The spirit of……
“I think I am smarter than all bloggers in the world who are more experienced than me………and I want to try something different than what they have on their tutorials………….spirit”.
It is in that spirit…..I have a question…….

She uses a glue gun to make her peas stick to her wreath.
Which is smart…but…….
I have a baby glue gun and hardly any glue sticks.
I am trying to do all of my projects with what I literally have on hand.
My question.
I have this on hand.
Do you guys think that spray adhesive will keep the peas on the wreath?
I don’t want my attempt at the adult version “spring wreath” ………
To look like the kids version……..
Unless my kids did it……and if that was the case they are 15 and 20 years old…..
I would hope it would look better than her younger kids version.
Who am I kidding……they have me as their mother…..it would probably be really close to this.
But anyways……
This time….before I jump the gun and just switch up someones great tutorial…..
I would like some experienced opinions first. I am not an expert at spray adhesive.
Can you believe that?
How sticky is it?
Think I would be “pea-ing” all over the place?
For real?
How cute is this wreath?
I want the peas to stay where they belong and will do it either way but would love to just use adhesive if possible.
I think it is so sweet for my kitchen.
And if we get real hungry……
We can eat it!
Dang...
She is good.
One wreath…..TWO functions!
She must be a survivalist or something.
Nahhh…..too pretty for a survivalist….just smart, pretty and thrifty!
How cute is she? I would be scared to post my whole face on my blog…….
Unless I looked like Katie.
I want to look like Katie. I always wanted brown hair…..cute smile……
I’m going to try the cute nose scrunch when I smile like she does……
Before you answer about the adhesive…..this important side question……
Is my nose cute like hers if I scrunch it up ?
Never mind.
Dang it.
Moving on……
What do you guys know from experience….adhesive spray as good as glue sticks?
Would love your thoughts before I try it.
And if you are so shocked at my schnauzer that you can’t even answer…..
Well, just hop on over to Katies blog..
You will NOT believe her acorn wreath.
Isn’t it gorgeous?
Give this girl some nuts……..vegetables………you name it…..
She can whip it into something.
And once again…….two functions.
Food and decor!
Dangggggg……
Give me your answers on glue stick vs adhesive.
Nose scrunch…… I figured out on my own.
Love,
Me

    Rebecca..

I am so shocked by this post.

    First of all, it was about me and my craft. {crazy!}

Second of all, you had me cracking up while reading.

I do not know if I can say this enough THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! You said so many nice things about me, I am truly honored. I am thrilled you are thinking about making a pea wreath, it was very easy just took a lot of hot glue sticks! I am not sure about the spray, I’ve never tried that before. Best of luck and thank you again for this post and for following my blog. I really appreciate it 🙂 I hope you had a wonderful weekend!!

I will check out your fly photo…..I think it would be heavy but it is soooooo pretty and I have about a zillion acorns around here.
No on Elmers glue but my babies are big.
I will test a spot of adhesive and see what happens. May have to break down and buy glue sticks : ) Love, Me

I’m thinking the spray adhesive might not work as well as the glue sticks for the long haul. But if you do the spray adhesive and then once you’re done spray it with the clear coating stuff maybe it would work.
