A table re-do with a twist!

We are getting Freebird ready for her first apartment so she and I picked up a $10.00 table to use as her entertainment center Saturday at a yard sale.
This is not her style……
But I have been showing her how we ALL started…..
And how we make it into OUR STYLES…..
So…..I grabbed some goodies…..
And told her that she was going to help me “change it up”.
Yeah…….that was about as far as she took her part in this project.
But I told her that wasn’t fair……because I needed her help in this part of this transformation.
Because I didn’t like doing tutorials……
That they were boring.
And that we needed to spice this tutorial up.
That you all deserved better.
Boring = Boring.
So before she quit on me….I told her I needed her help in taking photos for the…..
“Tutorial with a spicy twist”.
READY?
Get your pen and paper out…….

 Spicy enough for ya?

It’s the most efficient way to get to those hard to reach places.

Please don’t try this unless you are under the supervision of a 21 year old daughter.
So, to sum it up.
BEFORE
During…..
AFTER!
I had to Kiltz the table first……
It is the particle board type of wood so I knew that the paint would not stick.
I painted the handles and hinges nickel and used the handy dandy black satin spray paint with the Rustoleum trigger…LOVE IT!
Easy….
If I can do it, you can do it.
BAM!
Spicy…..
Educational….
Twisted??
$10.00 success???
Whatcha’ think?
Love,
Me

I can tell by your somewhat spicy tutorial that you are much younger than I am!! So, how does Freebird like the cabinet now? Has she seen it since you finished? It looks really great, so different than the oak, almost like a different piece altogether. Another “Good Job” for you! Take care,VBg

@4f7fb178b85c26a869b581b3a241d813 ….I was upside down….gravity fooled you on my age. When I stand rightside up…..the “sista’s and the hiney and the neck” well…..you would just know that I’m not young ; ) Plus, you ought to have seen how many pic’s we had to take to get me finally standing on my head…..we were cracking ourselves up. I’m sure it was much funnier to us than everyone else : ) I have to say….Freebird was the biggest fan. She was so excited about the transformation. Thanks for always coming by. You are soooooo encouraging! Love, me

Kate Chappell  I think it was one of those times…..that you just had to be there. We were cracking ourselves up and I wonder how many other people are just looking at it and going……huh? Thanks for stopping by. Love, me
