Pimpernel

I love my Pimpernel placemats……

I found them by accident.

We were on a trip one time and I found the neatest cork board placemats but couldn’t afford them.

I didn’t realize their “name brand”……

Until later.

When we came home………I wanted to see if I could find that “brand” of mat…because I loved their quality…but I needed the new/used price.

And I found ’em.

Yep…yep, I did.

It didn’t bother me that they were old.

I loved that part.

I loved the sturdiness of this placemat.

See how thick?

They are cork on one side……

You may remember a placemat like this at your grandparents house….you may even have them yourselves.

They have been produced in England for over 70 years.

They have a cork base that consists of Eucalyptus wood.

I could tell by the smell.

For real…I could tell.

Ok, I’m a fibber.

I looked that part up.

The top of the mat is scratch proof and scuff proof.

I looked that part up too.

But I do love how they wipe clean.

I just found out the fancy stuff.

I just liked them.

Couldn’t afford them.

Found them cheaper.

Then found out about them, once I started looking into them.

So….now you can know.

You’re welcome.

They have many different styles, designs and art work.

I LOVE my little round ones.

They are the perfect size for the base of a plate and give you just the protection you need for…..
YOUR NEWLY DISTRESSED TABLE…..
( I love my table!)

I love the sturdiness….but also the way it looks on the table.

Neat and tidy.

Don’t you think?

I found mine through Craigslist and Ebay.

There are different brands of cork board placemats.

Pimpernel is just MY favorite.

You may have another favorite.

There are different names and brands that are beautiful.

Pimpernel has so many beautiful designs.

I only have the older stuff….but the newer ones are gorgeous too if they fit your budget.

I know you guys….and right now, you are thinking….

How the heck does she get always get so lucky?

How does she find that stuff?

We NEVER have stuff like that!

Love the floral ones. I don’t normally use place mats. Have my mom’s table cloths on my table at all times, but would consider these. They are beautiful.

We normally use cloth ones but only cause I’ve never seen any as pretty as these are! I will have to look for some around here! I would love to have the Pear set and my daughter would love the London set! Did you find them on CL? Take care, VBg
