Tiered Table
We have all seen these tables everywhere.
They are your $3.00 variety.
Little bit particle board…..little bit wood.
LOTTA’ BIT BUGLY. (see previous post on bugly)
I have been wanting to experiment on using two different color paints…on one piece.
I know it doesn’t sound scary to you.
But it did to me.
So…….
I experimented.
Before.
After…
All dressed up with no place to go.
Literally……
Like…..NO place to go.
I do not think it’s my style.
I like it though…
I think.
And I hope I’m not like one of the American Idol contestants that are hideously awful when they are singing and you think to yourself…..
Why didn’t someone tell them that they sounded awful?
Am I blinded by my effort?
Am I the hideous performer?
Or could this piece be used somewhere?
Little baskets tucked under.
Used sideways or long ways……
Wood tones….
Shabby Chic.
Or even traditional?
Maybe I do have a place for it.
I’m just not sure.
I will tell you how I did the two tone paint…….
With one part clearance sample and one part spray paint…..
Tomorrow.
I know you are so excited….or running scared.
If you are coming here from one of the great linky parties…..you have some catching up to do! Like us on Facebook….or sign up for emails. I can’t wait to meet you!
Love,
Me

very cute transformation!
I like the two colors, and it makes it look fresh and cool. Perfect with the accent decor on top of it.
Really cool Babe. Love the two different colors and the stencil!
I think this would be great in a kids room!
Vast improvement!  I would love it if you would link up to my Tuesday Confessional link party going on now: http://www.craftyconfessions.com/2011/06/tuesday-confessional-link-party.html. I hope to see you soon!

@104ab4dc941a319065cd4ea4702d621b Ok…I just snorted, I laughed so hard! It’s already in the garage….banished to Freebirds apt or Craigslist. I think I would have liked it with the alternate paint green….or even scarier….muted red. What do you think? Alternate colors or too ugly as is? ; ) Love, Me
Thanks Babe. Appreciate the offer. Too bad we live so far from each other.
You’re safe ; ) Love, Me
No, you are. You don’t know what a nutcase I really am!!
I like it — I haven’t tried two different colors on one project (even though I’m probably the last blogger on the planet to say that!). I did do a piece where I refinished the top and left it wood-grain and painted the rest. I’d say if this isn’t your style — off it goes to Craigslist and someone will snatch this beauty right up!
@3c73cf011da38b9c8014535ad9599f14:disqus If you are the last blogger out there to say that….then, that means I am the next to the last blogger out there to say that. I thought I was cool…..up to date……dang it. ; ) Love, Me

@38f3112a0afd75a3bf3742f51c4a6f37:disqus Done and did! Thanks for coming by! Your poor readers! ; ) Love, Me
It’s cute. I makes me think of shabby chic meets mid mod meets cottage – mid shabby mod cottage chic?
I think maybe I’ll have to pass on this one, the colors just don’t work for me. Take care, VBg
I think it’s cute. Â I love the color’s. Â I think it would look good in a seaside cottage or a kids room. 🙂
i disagree.
I am very critical, especially of the “i have to paint every piece of wood in site” people, but this didnt start out as a quality piece of furniture (wood wise) to begin with, so great piece to paint.
the colours you chose are very now, especially for people that like that shabby cottage by the sea look.
and i know it would look great and work well with the colours in my 15yr olds bedroom and she would love it.
great job…not your style, but well done, i think it will easily be sold!
@322789fcd1205f61aa89196d783926a4:disqus Love it! Let’s patent that phrase and start a decor line! Love, Me
i can always count on you to tell me if I have a boogie in my nose ; ) Love, Me
Erin, You are so sweet and need to come get your end table! ; ) Love, Me
Beautiful. I love the colors. Thanks for joining my party!!
i am very much a fan of the two toned look! this was a great piece to try it out on!
that’s a great redo I see those all the time and never know what to do with them.
Thank you! Now if I can sell it for $10.00…I may be able to double my money ; ) Love, Me
I want to re-paint it off white…….and learn how to paint leaves and little birds in a frame like style…..too big of dreams? ; ) Love, Me
Natural finish makes it perfect.
