Sorry for the delay!
I was busy battling this….
It is out of focus because I had hopped up onto a chair in the garage……
I could have died.
If it wasn’t a black snake and was poisonous.
And it would have bit me.
And I couldn’t have made it to a Dr.
They didn’t have a snake bite antidote at the Dr’s.
That’s how close you all came to losing me.
My family doesn’t seem to appreciate the significance of my near death experience either….
You guys do though, don’t you???
Well, never fear…….I will tell you later about the attack from the “Spawn of Satan”(lucky you), but I promised my coleslaw recipe.
YOU MUST HAVE COLESLAW WITH BBQ SANDWICHES!
Please don’t make the BBQ without trying the slaw with it……..it’s an experience.
And you will want this slaw when you make hot dogs…..BBQ……and other stuff….I’m drawing a blank.
I told you, I am limited in the kitchen.

Here are your ingredients.
Vinegar (Red wine vinegar is yummy as well….I just grabbed what was on hand)
Mayo….(not miracle whip)
Grated Parmesan Cheese
Half and half or milk
Bag of slaw…..or grate your own….I’m too lazy.
This was the tough part for me…..
I have never measured my quantities before.
I just wing it on this dressing.
My grandma actually taught me this dressing when I was 18 years old.
She would use it on fresh tomatoes, cucumbers and onion salad.
But I added the grated Parmesan. Just because. It is good without.
People really like it, so I must be doing something right…..OR….I have friends really good at faking like they like my slaw………
Let’s go with the fact that they like it.
Ok…..I tried to come up with some measurements but play with this to YOUR taste.
I tell you what gives mine a different flavor….is ALOT of grated Parmesan.
I used it one time on a whim…..a careless whim I tell you……and it was a crowd pleaser…..
So, I kept on carelessly “whimming” and using it.
What I have narrowed it down to is:
1/8 cup sugar
3/4 to 1 cup half and half or milk
1/8 cup vinegar
1/8 or more of grated Parmesan
1 cup of mayo.
Mix that up together……
It will be runny like this.
Your grated Parmesan will make it a little chunky and I didn’t whisk mine…..once you mix it over slaw….it doesn’t really matter….so I wasn’t too worried about it being too smooth.
I like mine runny……
You may not.
We all like it dripping into our BBQ……our hot dogs…….
Down our chins.
We are from the South.
It is just the way we are.
I refrigerate immediately after making and it will thicken up a bit.
Tweak the ingredients to what taste good to you.
We like ours a little “twangy” with the vinegar.
You may not.
