My Mom Made Me Do It…

Well, looks like my mom finally got what she wanted…
She has been BEGGING me to do a blog… Write my own blog…. Go take pictures of things…. Clean my room… Do my laundry… Can you say PUSHY??? 😉
So it looks like she finally got me to do at least one of her MANY request.

I’ll be moving into my new house in August… I am SO STOKED!

My mom on the other hand…….. CANT….. STOP….. CRYING…..

She has enjoyed helping me get ready to decorate the house though (that is where half of her blog ideas come from, I am her Very willing guinea pig)  and I have LOVED having her help/do everything ;)! I can’t wait to see the finished product!

For the project today, I wanted to create something that was SIMPLE (because I am not artistic at all) and that would be fun!

I went to Michael’s and bought a wooden letter “B” (for my name), Spray adhesive, glue, Bronze glitter, and Mosaic glass pebble thingys…

I then sprayed the adhesive all over the “B” and immediately started to sprinkle the glitter over it…
It doesn’t have to be fully covered, this is just so you don’t see plain white board through and between the glass beads…..

I put it in the sun to dry…. while it was drying I had to fend for myself in this tough world and find me some food (because my mommy wasn’t home to make me anything) Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Can you feel my pain????

(Yes, that is a giant cookie that is only half melted and I may or may not have ate the ENTIRE thing in one sitting) =) Welcome to the rough life I live!

After it was semi-dry (still sticky) I painted the white glue onto the back of each bead and pushed them onto the letter…. I didn’t choose a specific pattern I just went with it! Creative flow =)

I kind of just squished them around until they looked the way I wanted them to =)

After finishing the tedious work of “beading” I set it in the sun and let it dry for a while… the beads are pretty heavy so it needs to dry completely…. (or they fall off… and then you have to start all over, Not that I know) 😉

And this is the finished product!!!! The first and only project I have started AND finished =) Mommy will be So proud!!!! Go me!

Thanks Mom for letting/forcing me to do this and for always being there for me when I need you most =) I couldn’t be who I am today without you!

It is a big tough world out there. Good thing you had a big cookie. They make everything better. Your Mom is so proud of you. Even when you don’t clean your room. Good luck on your new home!

Oh my, not only talent runs in this family…….beauty as well…..and that “a little wicked” sense of humor!
Freebird you and your Mom could easily pass for sisters, you know it’s good when your Mom is so young looking, it’s a great genetic trait to have because it’s passed on to your children!! Lucky You!!
I liked you “Blingy B”, very cute and the glitter color……..so pretty!
You have done a great job with your tutorial as well, very easy to follow your directions! Thanks for sharing your idea!!
I hope your Dad is doing well, y’all have been in our prayers.
    Take care, VBg
