Awkward Family Photos

As I sit here in the hospital with Romeo…..and am away from my home and the ability to do projects…..I’m filling some of the time with browsing on the internet.

When I am home…I blog in the mornings and don’t really browse other blogs or the internet, so I have been catching up.

Today’s post is strictly for laughs….

These photos are KILLING me!

They are awkward family photos OR AWKWARDLY posed family photos…… that people have submitted and honestly…..well….you just need to see them for yourself.

(submitted by Wanda)

NOTE FROM ME: I like the jaunty way they posed him with his watch… hardly notice he is half naked!

For some, “Mrs. Claus” is a fashion icon.
NOTE FROM ME : I like the pink poodle and penguin….makes it so much more realistic.

She was reconsidering the extensions.

NOTE FROM ME: What WAS this photographer thinking??? I can’t stop laughing.

Her parents didn’t approve, but their love was too powerful.
(submitted by Marvio from Brazil)

NOTE FROM ME: Stop………….

You don’t have to be all man to be all man.
(submitted by Jonathon)
NOTE FROM ME: She looks so proud of her parents.

“This photo is from my 8th birthday. My grandmother bought me this American Doll for Christmas the year prior, along with glasses to “make me feel better” about getting some myself, and she apparently thought it was a good idea to be photographed with the doll on birthday. Wow, Grandma, the doll hovering over my head wasn’t creepy at all…not at all.”

NOTE FROM ME: Our poor kids and the way we pose them…which at the moment…seems so right.

We’ve got ourselves an old fashioned cross-off.

(submitted by Nicole)
NOTE FROM ME: Cracks me up!!!

Some people are just obsessed with themselves.

“This photo was taken in 1950 while our family was on a summer vacation at the Jersey Shore. I am the lovely creature on the left with a horrendous case of poison sumac and look like a creature from outer space. My two brothers seem only intent on shooting the photographer, and my mother, grandmother and grandfather seem unfazed by this weird person in the photo with them. How did I ever allow anyone to take my photo looking like this? I was just 6 years old and probably didn’t think twice about it at the time.”
(submitted by Margaret)
NOTE FROM ME: Love her description.

“When my father got remarried after my parent’s divorce, my mother went through the family albums and cut him out of all of the family photos. Using scissors became too labor intensive, so she switched to white-out.”

(submitted by Shawna)
NOTE FROM ME: Ok…..this one cracked me up………I’m sure it felt “right” when she pulled out the white out…but NOW???

She just wanted to celebrate the Fall.

NOTE FROM ME: Don’t you love temper tantrums?

Sometimes, imagination just isn’t enough.

(submitted by Josh)
NOTE FROM ME: Josh LOVED his mom doing all of this for him by the looks on his face.

“This is a photo of my mom, my brother, myself, and my soon to be born younger brother. I’m awkwardly in the hockey equipment on the bottom left. A family friend talked mom into having us all pose for this photo. It went on to win some sort of award in a Newport, RI photo show. It also hung in our house while I was growing up, which made for some awkward moments when friends came over.”

She went all the way to 11 with this one.
(submitted by Caroline)
NOTE FROM ME: She is cracking me up.

“I recently photographed my sister-in-law’s wedding (my husband’s sister). I knew the window overlooked a part of the hotel’s roof, but I didn’t notice the workers until after I snapped a few pictures. When I got home and downloaded all the pictures, I couldn’t stop laughing when I saw this. Lucky for me she has a good sense of humor and allowed me to share it with you.”
(submitted by Laura)

“This is my mom, dad and brother in Sydney. Posing on a bridge, my brother set the camera on timer, and ran back to join my parents. However, he had too much momentum and fell back into the pond.”
(submitted by Claire)
NOTE FROM ME: He tried so hard to get the perfect shot!

You can always spot the fathers who will have trouble letting go.
(submitted by Anton)
NOTE FROM ME: Too stinking funny!

Last one…….
Has anyone seen Aunt Telcia?
(submitted by Nicole) (LOOK CLOSELY!!)

I must run and take care of my hubby.

We have laughed our heads off at these……

There are more on this site…..…….ENJOY!

Share the laugh’s with your family and friends by emailing out this post.

I’m still laughing and there are so many there that are even funnier….you just have to see them for yourself!

After me and my girl about wet our pants looking at those pictures, just guess what my perfect family did?  We got all spiffed up and went to church to have our picture made!!!!!  The pose was so natural.  My 16 year old son sat on a stool facing left with another stool between his legs. My 18 year old son was told to sit on THAT stool!!! The 18 year old about laid an egg.  After being threaten with bodily harm, he finally did it, then  he was told to lean back into his sweet, loving brother.  The picture turned out with everybody laughing except the brothers, both looked like they had been sentenced to the electric chair!  The good news, Chick, is that no one will ever see that picture, except for the whole church, of course!!!
