Time for you to shine!!! Hog Da’ Blog 1!!!
Blogging has been therapy for me…..
An outlet to showcase projects that I have been working on.
But without you guys…..I would just be blogging to my family.
They thank you.
I thank you.
And once a month I would like to showcase…..YOU.
Many of you don’t have blogs and can’t link up at linky parties to show the world what you are up to….but you need to able to strut your stuff and “HOG MY BLOG!”
Classy title isn’t it?
Wanna’ hog my blog?
You can.
If you do not have a blog….send me your project via email….”your story”….and photos…….and put in the subject….”Hog da’ blog!!”
Once a month….
I will showcase you!
If I missed you on this post….email me again, with the subject….”Hog da’ blog!”
I am sorry if I missed you. I am having to wrap my head around the craziness of my blogging email growing and don’t want to leave anyone out. I will hopefully have that craziness figured out as I balance my work, family and blog schedule!
So, here it goes!
HOG DA’ BLOG!
You deserve it!
I would like to start with Carla Magee
She is a “nap” time worker and has to cram her projects in when she can…..
Wait until you see what she “Crammed” in……makes me look like…well…..see for yourself.
Uh-Door-Uh-Bull…….(like that spelling?)
Her neighbors questioned her sanity when she started moving her stuff outside on her sidewalk and staging it….
Carla is all about DIY and giving the neighborhood a little spice…..a little something to talk about.
She took one for the team!
Wanna’ see again?
I know!!!!
It is sooooo sweet!
And I love the drawer staged…never done that….think I will.
Gonna’ copy you Carla. Yep, yep, I am….
Ready for the next one?
This one floored me…..
Really…..
This is like a “Rebecca is ready to die, and did her final project, project.”
Not an …..”I don’t have a blog and just took a whim to do this project, project”.
Nicole is our little dumpster diva…..here is her email.
After…..
Honestly?
For real?
I mean….this stuff needs to be shown!!!
Ya’ll are good.
Real good!
Do you not love this chair? Isn’t this the chevron pattern?
UNREAL! LOVE!!!!
Super Power of Prayers Activated!!! Form of a chair, like this one, in someone’s trash! ( How many of you recognize this cartoon?)
Amen.
Next…..
Mrs Linda….
She called this baby steps.
ANYTHING…..ANYthing…that involves spindles….NOT baby steps.
Spindles=spawn of Satan.
Amen again.
She staged this chair…..she is getting a little sassy, I do believe.
I love that.
Here is her email
I am SO excited (happy dance) Found this lil oak child’s chair at Salvation Army for $1.99. I used some Behr OOPS paint i found. Its a barn red (what a find – and a quart too!) Sanded with my lil Mouse Sander. Then rubbed on Min-wax Poly (whatever that was you said to use) in Dark Chestnut. I did have trouble with running although I checked FOREVER for them before I turned my back . What runs I found, Just used the sander to obliterate em (muaaaah) and then used Mini-wax Paste Wax (clear) on it. It was a fun 1st project)
How much do you love this chair? And I LOVE the books she picked out to stage it with. Remind me to tell you about the Christmas ornaments I made with books like this….for real…..
I want this chair as my screen saver.
For real.
I love red.
Now, those of you that have emailed me…take before and afters….give me your steps…..and I will showcase EVERYone. Even if it goes to more than once a month.
This blog is nothing without you guys.
You inspire me…..
AND
I love you …….
Now, let these ladies hear how awesome they are!
Love,
Me
Hog Da’ Blog…..part 1. YAY!!!
Linky party for bloghers or bloghims…..MONDAY!
Love,
Me again.
What a GREAT idea this is to share your blog. Â All are great. Â Love the transformed free chair to white and blue chevron material. Â She had great vision.
I LOVE THE CHEVRON CHAIR!!!!! and yes I know I am yelling 🙂
Even better that she curb-cycled it, funny thing last week I missed my turn for a funeral home & had to drive a ways to turn around but when I did…God blessed me with the best chair I haven’t remade yet but so glad it fit in my little Focus
PS…my oldest, Thing 1, likes your butt too so much that he was sneaking into the pan all day while we were supposed to be cleaning (he likes it w/o BBQ sauce)

Thank you so much for helping me share my chair! ☺ I am so in love with it!
Wow! I did not expect this when I got up this morning! Thank you so much!
I love the chair too!!! Reupholstering is not my strong suit… I really need to improve that? Maybe a tutorial for slip covers??? 🙂
What a sweetheart you are to showcase those who don’t have blogs YET. Â I’m pretty sure they’ve got the bug and skills to keep doing this. Â We will be seeing more from these talented ladies real soon…and to the ladies….Great job, keep up the good work!!
Hot glue and no close-up shots. ☺
Those are amazing projects. Awesome job to both of you! And what a sweet thing for you to do, Rebecca, to showcase them. I just love your blog, I surely do…. Please, everyone, keep up the great work! You are all an inspiration to me to keep trying new ideas (but we won’t tell dear hubby, no we won’t). Think I’m gonna scout out some chairs at garage sales today!
Wow!!! Â Those are all crazy amazing!!!!!!! Â And I’m impressed that anyone found anything at Salvation Army for $1.99!! Â I always think of that places as the expensive thrift store!!!! 🙂
I have deep respect for these ladies mad skillz!!!!! Â
