Little shabby table
I picked up this little table at a yard sale for $2.00.
It was worn – slap – out.
It needed some love.
Which I decided to give it.
I coughed up the $2.00 and got busy later at home.
I decided that I didn’t want to sand away the uneven, damaged, worn, spots in the stain before I painted it.
I wanted it to show but wasn’t sure how it would work out.
That is the only way you can find out……try it.
Or you can always try the other method…..
Let me try it…..then if I screw up… you know not to try it.
Yep, that works too.
If you decide to just go for it…..do…….
You can always paint over it.
And sometimes, it works!
Wanna’ see?
After some distressing……and a clear coat of wax and buffing……..
Cutie, isn’t it?
Remember the before?
Now.
Didn’t the worn spots distress up pretty?
The thing I love about pieces like this….
Once it is distressed…..you don’t have to baby them.
They can be loved….because they look “loved”.
Just not worn out.
Only loved……..and worn.
What do you think?
Would you have passed up a $2.00 find like this?
I am almost tempted to use it between two chairs in my living area.
Right now the two chairs have an ottoman in between them, with a tray on it as a table…..
But, I need product at the consignment store.
So, I shall wait for another deal.
Like this transformation?
It was probably 45 minutes of my time.
Think it was worth it?
I’m thinking it was…….
Love,
Me

I think it looks great! Well worth the $2 and the time!Â
$2, shut the front door! Ya gotta love that!
Oh, very nice! And I love the little green birdie.Â
Wow $2???????? Â I’ve gotta move….nobody around here prices stuff like that!!! Â But I have to remember I’m in California and everyone is now poor…..but I digress….
The table is really cute!!!! Â “Worn but not worn out” is the perfect thing to keep in mind!!! Â That’s what you are so good at, taking worn out things and making them look nicely worn!!
Another winner!!! You go girl… 🙂
yes I would snap it up too ! Â looks so good my friend. Â you are good at this

OK, if it were me, I’d keep that baby! I’ve NEVER seen a table like that…..two tiered like an end table, but long like a coffee table. Unique! Love it!Â
Wonderful redo, love it!
I love it Rebecca! Totally worth it and that little green birdie is just the perfect pop of color in the photos. Great job! 🙂

Neat little table and for $2.00 you had nothing to lose!
Very cute now! Gotta love $2 yard sale finds!
Don’t ya just love a good deal? For two bucks, I probably would have bought the table, too. Love your pumpkin display atop your pretty project piece.  😉
