As fall begins her exit, with her vibrant and crisp color barely fading and shedding
I find myself so rushed in preparation of a new season that I am missing her graceful departure.
As the leaves begin to swirl, so do my thoughts in preparation for what is coming. My steps begin to hasten in preparation of all that I need to do.
And I turn my head away from her shedding beauty.
Becomes about me.
My desire for change.
And I miss it’s departing lesson.
This season wasn’t meant to be over in a day……….
It takes a “season” to fulfill it’s meaning.
We want everything so quickly.
And when it is over so quickly…..we wonder why.
When the next season arrives, we wonder how we missed it’s entrance.
Many times it is because we rushed it in the first place.
Today….before you celebrate the upcoming season
Embrace the season you are in.
Open the windows and breathe in deeply.
For in this season’s healing, departing air is the promise of a new season around the corner.
Don’t miss it’s lesson.
Embrace it’s promises.
