Spray paint fun

I love the ease of spray paint.

It can take a blah piece and make it new.

Have you played around with it lately?

Many of you guys that have been around for awhile have seen my very impressive spray paint booth workshop………

Newbies….. don’t be envious.

Work hard and one day……. maybe, just maybe…you will get as fancy as me.

I know.

I’m a big whig.

Fancy-shmancy-spray paint digs aside..don’t get aggravated….I am going to show you more than ANOTHER thrift store tray.

I just can’t help it.

This one will be different. Promise.

Side note: It looks like an UFO, doesn’t it? I could fiddle with this photo and be famous!
That would be wrong. I won’t. Maybe……

Are you about sick of trays?

Bear with me. I had a reason for showing you this one.

Spray paint and Wah lah………

What reason did I have you say?

Well….have you thought about using a thrift store tray this way?

Aha! I didn’t think so.

What about this?

Bam Yow!
You’re welcome.

Pinkie promise. Thrift store trays are now out of my system.

For today.

I swear to not throw thrift store trays at you again…...for at least a week.

No crosses counted.

Let’s move onto other fun little thrift store items.

Look how a little bit of spray paint transformed these little goodies purchased from Salvation Army.

They were great as they were….brass “herons”…I think.
Not valuable…….not old…..nice…but I needed color.

Ho Hum.

See how they disappeared?

A little trip to my outdoor magic workshop and………….

Just what I needed. Make my white and blue pop a tad, don’t they?

I usually pass that kind of stuff up at thrift stores.

But they ended up being a great decor filler.

A little spray paint went a long way.

(Sorry for the blur…I was falling off of the ottoman on this shot.)

(Sorry for the blur, I was falling off the ottoman for this shot too.)
Little people, big world.

Just so you know….I like brass…just not in this instance.

I never got “tired” of brass.

I’m glad it’s “back in style” because I “never went nickel”.

Lucky me.

When big undies come back in….

Well, I will be ready too.

You’re welcome.

Like the change?

Found your tray yet?

Would you paint brass?

I should get my quote for the door tomorrow…..

I will know then if it will be a DIY or HSTDIFM (hire someone to do it for me) project.

You will be the first to find out.

I think I have decided what color/stain to go with.

You may be surprised.

So, are you a brass hater? Brass lover?

Want to see my “thrift store tray” e-book 400 part series?

Let me know!

Well, I for one, love the trays! It amazes me how a can of white paint can turn something so ugly into beauty. Love the birds too. I’m not a big metal decor person really. I do have brass things though.

Dang gurllllllll!!!!!! You are sososososo good at taking stuff I walk by into cool stuff!!! No more, though!!! I’m a believer in spray paint…wish I could make myself look better with it but oh well, I’m happy transforming stuff!! 🙂

Oh, I’ve no problem with spray painting brass or whatever if it will make the thing fit in with whatever I’m doing….which reminds me of a brass fish I might need to alter……:)

Spray paint rocks, plain and simple. If it ain’t the right color and holds still long enough, it will get spray painted. Well, when spring comes back around. No spray painting in the winter in Ohio, sigh.

I can’t believe what a can of spray paint can do for anything. It transform it into something beautiful, fresh and bright again. I love herons, and do like brass, but really do think they look much better white. They pop now! Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving. Thanks so much for sharing over at Sunday’s Best.
