Front Door Reveal!

If you are heading over here from “Front Porch Ideas And More”….I am so glad that you are here!

Want to see the reveal that my readers had to patiently wait for.….walk me through and hear about?

Are you ready?

Wah lah!

The dark stain makes the brass pop in the glass, doesn’t it?

I darkened the columns to match the trim and gutters on the house…….

Lowes did an awesome job at color matching a “solid” stain to a piece of vinyl I brought in.

The tear-stained face and hicc-uping sobs may have gained some sympathy from the paint department.

Later this week……I will tell you all we went through to get it here.

You won’t believe what the first attempt looked like.

I freaked.

I am just so glad to have my door and front entry back!

I feel like they are safe from the elements now and the beauty of the door can really shine.

What do you think?

Like it?

I can’t wait to hear your thoughts!

If you like it now, you won’t want to miss the before! Click below to check it out….or don’t…..I’m almost embarrassed for you to see it!

Love,

Me

You know what? I just love it! The whole house is beautiful! I can’t remember all of the ideas you got on what color to paint it but you made the right choice. I pinned your pin, how ’bout that?

When I first started reading this post, I was giggling at myself that my life is SO lame, I was literally waiting for this post to see what color a stranger would paint her front door! 🙂 But, it shows that you have great talent in decorating, photographing, staging and writing, because it really was a fun adventure to walk through with you. You did a wonderful job!

Hi Me….Your efforts paid off and all looks fabulous dahlin’. How many people have a red door to decorate at Christmas I ask you? How fun is that? Man oh man, I do know about tears of frustration. In our first house, the cedar siding was supposed to be painted a darkish gray. I came home from work to see a house that looked like it had been wrapped in tin foil. Did I pitch a fit or what? All ended well though with the repaint job. It was perfect. Merry Christmas. xoxo
