Free and easy way to display your Christmas Cards

Would you like an easy Christmas Card Display idea?

Would you like a free one?

Want to see what has become the tradition in my home?

Hold onto your socks people….

This craft may just blow them off.

Is that how that saying goes?

Remember when I said that I wanted to simplify my Christmas decorations this year?

I have a pretty Santa that “holds” the Christmas cards we receive in a pocket below his beard. One reason I didn’t use him was that the cards were “hid” in his pocket. Another reason  I did not pull him down from the attic this year. Simplify……..

So….my simple Christmas Card display idea?
You really may like this craft because this is what you need to assemble:

* NO glue

* NO vinyl

* NO spray paint

Want to see where my Christmas Cards will be displayed this year?

The frame on my french doors is “tuck-able“. That is a word in the “Rebecca-pedia”.
Tuck-able: something that gives you the opportunity to allow an item to be tucked away.

Here, if you still don’t understand the word, I will use it in a sentence for you.

Rebecca was very excited, that due to body shaping Spanx, her back fat was now “tuck-able”.

I tuck away…….

Now, they are visible, rather than stacked and non-viewable in my Christmas card holder and I find that people enjoy looking at them…..reading them………basically “snooping” with my permission.

Who wouldn’t?

This is what it looks like from my breakfast room, into my living room with the french doors closed.

It would look messy with the cards in it.

But I rarely close it.

If I do close it, I have to put that little door stop in front of it, as they like to pop back open.

It’s a great way for my hubby and I to share conversations that the kids can’t hear in the living room.

They can beat on the door and beg for us to let them in and we will NOT.

Ha! Because we are the boss of them!

Beat away….we will NOT kowtow to them!

Then they walk from the living room, around through the dining room and come in the kitchen anyway and just ignore our rude behavior.

What’s up with that?

I have got to get another door or other children.

Do you have french doors?

Would you do this?

I have taped them around door frames before when I didn’t have french doors.

Would this seem messy to you?

It seems to be pretty popular with my guests……unless they are good fakers and think I’m a weirdo.

What do you think?

Where do you put your Christmas cards?

Would you use this Christmas Card Display idea?

Are yours in a holder or do you display them?

I would love to hear your thoughts.

    Sadly, I no longer have french doors. I’m pinning mine to my cutie garland with craft clothes pins. Maybe I’ll have to do a post on it…

    I do not have french doors either…BUT if I did, I would hang my cards from them..such a clever idea! I normally tuck my cards around a mirror that I have in my living room.

    What a great idea…I don’t have french doors but if I did then I would sure tuck mine in them! Ours are just displayed on our bar right now…I haven’t been too sure what to do with them. I love what Molly said above about pinning them to the garland with the craft clothes pins. Might have to check that out!

    I would definitely do that! No doors for me, though, so I just tape ’em up on any blank wall. Or anything else that stands still long enough!

    I think we have the same Santa card holder. Did he forever fall forward? LOL This year they’re in an old Kraft cheese box, like the size of the hunk of American they take out at the deli when they slice it and give it to your kids to quiet them down. I’d do the french door if I had one. I could send you a kid or two, they’re adults, but what the heck.

    I do not have French doors sadly. I do have back fat though, so the Spanx are it for me. I normally set my cards out on my Hoosier cabinet for friends to see.
