Yes, I am blogging about chalkboards….again.

It is such a great way to re-use and up-cycle thrift store pictures and frames.

I wanted you to see some cute ones that I have seen out in “brick and mortar” stores lately.

I know….get your jaw off the floor.

I have been out shopping in real stores again.

Here are three different boards.

1st set of pic’s. The mini easels. $6.99. Not a bad price but they are super tiny.
2nd pic., on sale for $15.99.
3rd. Magnetic chalkboard. Ballards. Ready for this price?????!!!!!! $199.00!!!!!!

Mini Easel Chalkboard | World Market
Ok… my boards.
Less than $1.50. Old picture. Painted the chalk paint right on the glass. You know I have been doing them this way forever and have had no issues.
The next one. You saw the tutorial “here“. This is actually one of my most “googled” posts.

Less than $5.00. If this had a magnetic paint or backing, it would be VERY similar to the $199.00 Ballards one, don’t you think?

Last example. Remember the Christmas tray I found at Goodwill? Less than a $1.00.

Where did I find a place for it?

So, have I convinced you yet?

My blog is chop full of chalkboard tutorials. You can find them in the search box.

They are such a fun way to decorate economically.

Would you use any of these?

Find some thrift store frames, add some chalk paint and add it to your Valentines Day gifts.

What a fun way to add some “fancy” to your VDay!

The great thing….they fit in “any” season. Red is not stuck in Valentines Day.

I plan to use mine elsewhere after this holiday.

So, what do you think?

I would love to know.

Love the tray chalkboard, but I especially LOVE the hook in front of the mirror with the hanging heart!

I love them, too! I just did my first…bought a cute red tin sign you could use to put a message on that would be permanent from Hobby Lobby. You inspired me to take it a step further & I painted the message area with chalkboard paint so I can change my message as often as I want! I think Ballard’s stole your idea for their board!

I’ve been a little chalboard crazy lately myself. I just painted three siver trays from the thrift store. I’m going to see if magnets will stick to them 🙂
And I agree, you can never have too many !

Hey! Have you seen the Martha Stewart colored chalkmboard paint at Michael’s? I found it today…some really pretty colors…spray paint or in a bottle like other craft paint. Just wanted to let you know. Can’t wait to try it;)
