“Vegas” green table

I have had a lot of fun experimenting with color lately.

My little red table has been one of my most “pinned” items on Pinterest.

I found this cute little table at a yard sale, it was cracked, worn and rough.

I purchased a Valspar paint “sample” and had it tinted to the “Vegas” green color.

Vegas green?

Why Vegas, Valspar?

Just curious.

If you have been hanging with me on Facebook, I told you guys the other day that I am so into navy and green lately.

Do you blame me?

By the way…..remember when I asked you all if my shade was too big for my lamp the other day. Consensus was to get a larger/higher “harp”. I had no clue that is what the “shade holder” was called but anyways…did you know that Walmart sells an “adjustable” lamp harp?

They do and it was less than $5.00. Perfect!

Made such a neat difference to this lamp shade? Love it’s skinny little neck showing!

Raise your hands if you like navy and green together….

Oh. Wait. That’s just me.

Raise your hands if you keep wearing combinations of these two colors until it almost appears as if you are constantly wearing the same outfit…..

Oh. Wait. That’s just me.

Raise your hands if you bought the beautiful navy and white porcelain piece in the above picture at Goodwill today and you were so excited that you came home to pose it with your green table but first you had to remove the HUMONGOUS sticker it had on it and you soaked the sticker in goof off to get it off and put the navy and white porcelain piece on your table after getting the sticker off and forgot to clean the bottom of the porcelain piece off and when you picked it up you saw this…..

Oh. Wait. That’s just me too, isn’t it?

Yeppers, it is.

Fixed it.

So, do you like the green?

I am going to post a tutorial this week. Took half of a $2.50 sample, a little gold leaf and stain and paste.

I learned something new with the gold leaf by messing up. I will share it with you in the tutorial.

You are the only reason I mess up.

You’re welcome.

I am loving the gold leaf.

I can’t wait to hear your thoughts!

What would you list this for or buy this for?

I’m curious.

Should I sell it or keep it?

I thought about making it the “nightstand” for my new guest bedroom that I am getting ready to make in the old book room.

Wouldn’t that be pretty next to crisp white linens?

Let me know!

I can’t wait to hear from you!

I would keep’. Why sell what your heart loves every time you see it? As for blue and green, just bought some fabric to make a blue/white with green skirt dress today lol. And OMG if you want to get rid of any of your blue/white ware, please let me know, will gladly take it off your hands 🙂

I do love green and blue together!! I like it in lots of shades, too….I have a green and blue theme on my patio right now but it’s more of a bright green and aqua. It’s the party cousin to the more stately dark blue and green of your table. 😉 I love them all!!

I think the table is adorable!! How can you sell it?? 🙂 Pricing is tough because the more I like something the higher the price gets in my head. Soooo…while I’d _like_ you to sell it to me for $10, I’d pay $50. Yup.

Hi, this is my first time EVER leaving a comment on a blog as I’m new to all this…but I love your blog, so here goes nothing…I think this little table is lovely, its such bright (but vintage) colour. I have a paint colour very similar to this and I think you have inspired me to use it ! Hope to become a regular poster – this internet world is wonderful – big, but wonderful 🙂

Great table. I bet you could use it in every room. One of those versatile pices for sure.

Oh my gosh….I have been trying to incorporate green & navy in my otherwise mostly brown & beige family room. I love the combination. I also recently got a blue & white vase from Goodwill for $3.00….gotta love it

For some reason I didn’t used to like green. I can’t remember why because I love it now. It can be paired with ANYTHING! I painted my kitchen cupboards green apple. The rest of my decor is peach (actually a lot of orange but for some reason I feel safer to say peach). It is lovely together!
