Brass and Blue

I found these few items while out thrifting the other day.

Copper cookie jar that was missing the handle on top, two blue and white pieces, old brass planter.

Junk?

Let’s see where they live now.

This blue piece was expensive for me. It still had the Bombay store sticker on it but was $12.00 at Goodwill. That is a chunk of change for me but I knew that I would regret it if I didn’t purchase it.

No regrets now………..

The next one, the cookie jar that had seen better days and didn’t even have the knob for the top of the lid.

Just wiped it down and left the tarnished look. Can you tell what I used for the knob for the lid? If you are my FB friend you will know. : ) Take a guess if you don’t.

I like the green and copper and brass blend.

All of these blue and white items were thrifted but the one on the left is the one I purchased in the batch above.

Sidenote: I keep the little, vintage silver piece to hold my jewelry when I am cooking or washing dishes.

Robbers of the world, please note that at all other times, I wear my jewelry and carry a 9mm handgun and have special ninja skills.

Just so you know.……

Faded brass planter……still faded but don’t you see how pretty that patina will look with the green plants? They are babies right now….they will multiply and soon be too big for this planter.

This thrifted batch…..all for less than $17.00.

Worth it?

I believe it was.

Have a favorite?

I would love to know.

I can’t wait to hear from you!

Love,

Me
