Laptop Storage
Are we the only house in America with laptop messes in our living rooms? Bedrooms? Kitchens?
They seem to always be out on the couch, chair or table when not in use.
That is now taken care of!
Have you seen the new laptop storage tables?
They are adorable!
I got mine yesterday!
It is decorative and sturdy.
I love it!
It is padded on the inside of the holder, so it will not scratch your laptop. The cords can stay in your laptop and run out of the back side of the storage caddy.
It takes this……
And this…….
To this!
Do you like the difference?
Can you guess where I got this baby?
Would you want one?
What if I told you that I could “hook you up” for under $5.00 because I am such a big-wig famous blogger?
Then you could have your own too!
Would you want one then?
Well, guess what?
$3.47 Goodwill old magazine rack!
There goes the big-wig theory……..
SCORE!
Who knew what it was?
Do you like the design?
Pretty funky for me but I have been wanting to test a pattern like this on a smaller piece of furniture.
Wouldn’t it be sweet shabby chic style? Distressed white? Distressed black?
I will show you how I did it later this week. All of it…..super easy…..
Seriously.
What a fun way to up-cycle an old style!
Don’t you think?
What a fun way to hide your “laptop crap”.
Or, are we the only messy laptop people in America?
Anyone?
I can’t wait to hear from you.
Love,
Me

Let me know how it comes out! Love, Me
I really like this idea. Love me some harlequin diamond print too. I redid a magazine a long time ago, but I put magazines in it. I have a really big one that hasn’t been touched. Hmmmmm.
Really big one needs to be transformed! : ) love, Me
Really good idea! When I had my laptop, there were always things lying around and I’d have to hunt them down all the time. This is a fantastic way to keep things neat. Thanks!
Thank you! I love when you stop by! Love, Me
I have gone through 2 laptop power cords because I leave my laptop mess wherever and the dogs have chewed the cords (why do they have to pick such expensive chew toys?!!), and need to buy another cord, but it looks like I need to stop at Goodwill before I hit the office store. What a fabulous idea!!!! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Francy! What color will you do? Love, Me

Great idea!
Thank you Katie! Love, Me
Great idea! We have a designated spot for us but it still bugs me…this would be a perfect solution! And I love the harlequin print. I may copy you!
Thank you Stacey! Copying is the highest form of flattery! Trust me, I didn’t invent the harlequin print. I didn’t even know that was what it was called ; ). Good luck! Love, Me
Love it!! Love it!! Love it!! Now babies won’t be crawling on the laptops. I can also put a power strip inside so that there is only one cord that actually comes out of the stand. This way the babies will not have access to the power strip outlets and all the cords.
I love the power strip idea! I will include that in the tutorial! Love, me
Great Idea! I just bought a rack similar to this a couple of weeks ago and painted it black. I thought I would use it in my guest bathroom to hold extra rolls of toilet paper and such but now you have me re-thinking it. Thank you!
I almost painted mine black. Would love to see yours! Love, Me
Goodwill Hunting today-what a great idea. I hate the laptop mess! Thanks for yet another great idea.
Thank YOU for stopping by! Love, Me
Ha! As I was scrolling down the page I was simulataneously thinking, “Dang, I wonder if I could convert one of my magazine racks into one of these?” and “I can’t believe she didn’t just DIY a laptop storage thingie.” I should have known better 🙂
Can you give us a close-up of the padding?
Love that you were thinking that! It was killing me as I was writing it even pretending I bought it! ; ) I will do a tutorial this week and show you how I padded it. Love, Me
I love it! Harlequin and all. Can’t say I would have thought of it, but that’s why you have the big, popular blog, not me. Anyway, another thing to have hubs watch for in his unannounced solo thrifting trips. The man’s wardrobe is mostly SA. His choice.
Love a thrift shopping hubby! Not a big, popular blog….promise. I do love the perk of having you as a bloggy friend though! Hope you find one soon! Love, Me
Cute, cute! A great way to solve the laptop problems!!
Had to keep reminding my hubby of that though when he kept laying his neatly next to the caddy. : ) Love, me
SOOOO cute, I LOVE it and am now going to be on the lookout for a magazine rack. Would you do a post and show us how you padded it? I’m curious and not a “sewer” so wondering what clever way you came up with.
Heather
Heather, thank GOODNESS you cannot sew since you can do EVERYthing else!
; ) No sewing on the padding and I wil show you what worked for me Tuesday. Love, Me
Love the design and turning a magazine rack into a media area is perfect
Thank you Terry! Love, Me
So cute! I love the colors you chose. Great idea!
Thank you Betsy! Love, Me
Love the idea! I a couch laptopper and need something portable like this. Will be looking out for one I can paint.
Thanks for sharing,
Diddie
Thank you Diddie! Please tell me that is your name….it is PRECIOUS! I love you stopping by! Love, Me
This is so super cute!! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve *almost* sat on a laptop. Sheesh!! Would be delighted if you would link up with us at Mop It Up Mondays: http://www.ishouldbemoppingthefloor.com/2012/02/mop-it-up-mondays-4.html. Have a wonderful week!

P.S.– Headed to link up at your party right now! 🙂
Done! Love partying with you! : ) Love, Me
Love this idea, it’s easy to find the laptop, but then I can’t find the power source and mouse. It’s great to have a place to get organize, but now known I can get organized with my laptop. I’ll check out GW for a magazine rack, love the Harlequin. Thanks for sharing your creative inspiration at Sunday’s Best.
Thank you for stopping by but thank you even more for always hosting such a great party! Love your party reminders! Love, Me
Found you through the Sunday Best linky! Following you via LInky Followers! Tera

Cute, cute, cute…and it goes with the diamonds in my house..walls and back slash….good job.
I need something to contain my laptop and my tv remotes. Could this do doublr duty??
Yep that pretty much describes my house to a tee! In fact, I can see cords from where I am sitting right now and it DRIVES ME CRAZY!! I love that idea! So simple, yet so brilliant! Makes me say “Now why didn’t I think of that!?”
Seriously love this idea! Sharing now on my FB page! {HUGS}
