Dollar Tree Halloween Fun!

Yesterday a friend mentioned that the Dollar Tree had little black ravens.

I had just bought THREE from Walmart.

So, I ran to the Dollar Tree and went a leetle.blackbird.crazy.

I didn’t think this 5 ft garland was too cheap looking to add to my year round topiaries at the front door.

Pop in a couple of black birds…..

Spooky fun!

Added one to my fall wreath…..

A pack of paper spooky cut-out owls are plastered everywhere……

And black birds/ravens/crows are making their appearance throughout our fall decor.

It’s freaking my son out.

I have never really decorated for Halloween much when they were growing up.

Strict Baptist background + celebrating Halloween = GOING TO HE-DOUBLE TOOTHPICKS.

I’m all good with it now.

; )

I’ve grasped grace and all…….

My kids of course think I’m giving them a one way ticket.

I am being sarcastic……

I told them it was fine.

I had us all taken care of.

I prayed over every creepy item.

Said the Lord’s prayer.

Threw salt over my shoulder.

And rubbed my lucky rabbit’s foot Bible bookmark.

Momma Boo done know her scripture.

We’re all good.

Have you found any fun decorating items at the Dollar Tree lately?

I would love to know.

Creeped out by scary decorating?

Anyone relate?

I love it! Love that it’s just a little spooky…. not over-the-top witches and skeletons. Very Halloweeny-chic ๐Ÿ™‚ You have such an eye for this stuff!! BTW- deciding to paint my guest bedroom bed “your perfect red”. You’re a little inspiring ๐Ÿ™‚

It;s adorably spooky! I was born and raised catholic, in a country where there is no Halloween, but I can’t help to LOVE he Holiday, so since I’ve been here it’s been a blast every year!!!!…cute decor is not my thing though…I think I go 75% ultra creepy and 25% cute…after all I have a toddler, so the downstairs is always creepy, the upstairs just plain fun for kiddo! Thanks for sharing. Very Pretty decor! Will love for you to see mine…I don’t have a blog but will send you some pics if you want =0)

“…I prayed over every creepy item…” LOL!!! Too funny.

I’d love to find nice ravens like that at my dollar store! I painted black ravens on my pumpkins last year for the fall, then I just carved them out at Hallowe’en!

And I love your gold pumpkin by the way. Trรƒยจs chic!!

Funny, I’ve never decorated much for Halloween… I’d like to say it was because of my Southern Baptist upbringing, but it’s because I’m always too busy around this time. I’m going to do a little something fun for the front door this week though! Now if my kids could only be satisfied with last year’s costumes…

Ravens are part of harvest time (think corn!), and owls are cool-not scary. I think you tastefully decorated for harvest-time, not halloween.

Looking great. Wish I could do that too, but my pregnancy is stopping every attempt to do something around the house ๐Ÿ™‚
