Scarf storage solution!!!

Have a ton of scarves but no “scarf storage solution”? That was me. I had them rolled and crammed into drawers but when my “craft ribbon organizer” idea hit me. I had ANOTHER slap my forehead moment.

What do you do with a ton of scarves and a pants “hanger”.

Put them together and you get this……a really “grainy” pic!!! ; )

It has been really cloudy lately, sorry for the grainy pics!

I am in love with this way of hanging and storing my scarves now! It keeps them unwrinkled and not on hooks everywhere or crammed in drawers.

You just take the scarf, fold it in half and slide over one of the “slack” rods. Take the looped end and hang it over the “rod” or “dowel”. Like this…..

Reach through the loop and pull the hanging part of the scarf through the loop… this……

And just pull all the way through and it will be secure on your hanger and not slip off. It is easily removed and stays nice and tidy!

See? Nice and tidy, I tell ya’.

And grainy.

If you do not have “slacks” or “pants” hangers, you can find them at Walmart or Target. You could also do this with $0.00 by using the regular “hangers” that you have. Just loop them like this around the whole hanger.

No money out that way. ; )

If you want more storage and want the pants or slacks hangers here is an example of prices and styles at Walmart.

This one is super cool for ribbons or scarves.

So, scarf storage solution success?
How do you keep your scarves now?
Talk to me people!
I love hearing from you.

I know I will get some great ideas from yours as well. I love this idea for scarves. Right now, I used plastic box and I store them folded.

I had big problems with my ever growing scarf collection as well. I ended up culling them giving them away to friends or charity and my favourites hang on a hat/coat stand in the guest bedroom. I still have way too many than I actually wear … maybe i need to do another cull soon! I love your idea, looks like it would work well 🙂

Michelle, you do know that it is your responsibility now to come up with some kind of cool DIY project with your scarf “overflow”. Gift wrapping with them? I can’t wait to hear what you come up with! Love, Me

I have all of mine hanging around the neck of the co-ordinating garment in the wardrobe.
I have sooooo many, that I generally cull the selection every season and start afresh with the clothes I’m going to wear it with!
(It means I then get to buy more, to go with new clothes too!)
