Rose Petal Trees for Valentine’s Day. Dollar Tree Craft!
I wanted to share my $1.00, Valentine’s Day Rose Petal Trees that I am posting to get ready for Debbie Doo’s and Fox Hollow Cottage’s Dollar Tree party!
Did you know you are invited? You are! Are you ready?
I decided to get ready now…….
I also wanted to make something cute to take away from my hideous closet on my home page.
I’m shallow like that.
But for the Dollar Tree party my challenge to myself was really only spending a dollar.
$1.00.
100 pennies.
Uno Dinero.
Got it?
 Mission.Accomplished.
Ready?
Rose petal’s from the Dollar Tree and construction paper and tape!
That’s it!
Don’t believe me?
Told ya’.
Just layer rose petals and tape them to a construction paper cone.
Like so…….
The fluffier tree, has heart shaped rose petals.
I just cut the ends of the petal into a heart shape.
A rather pitiful heart shape….but a heart shape.
Here is the pitiful heart part…….don’t hate on me.
Kk?
My crooked little hearts.
Bless. Their. Hearts.……..(hoo hoo hee hee ha ha)
I didn’t anticipate that cutting the heart shapes in the petals would make a fluffier tree.
But it did.
I’m a genius!
By accident.
The non-heart rose petal trees are actually my favorite.
I am a NON fluffy, rose petal, kind of gal.
This craft took about 15 minutes. For real.
Layer up your petals and you get to the top……
I was using old and cheap tape and it was not very sticky. So, I grabbed my glue gun and did a layer of glue around the top to finish off my tree.
And did two more rose petals.
The.End.
How.Cute.Are.They?
How.Bad.Is.That.Grammar?
How.Much.Does.It.Get.On.Your.Nerves.When.I.Do.A.Ton.Of.Periods?
Ok…enough.
I’m.Done.
; )
One, single dollar and I have enough petals left to make about…hmmmmmmm.…….let me think……..
A million more trees.
YouAreTalkingTooMuch.com, ROSE PETAL CAPITAL OF THE WORLD!
I am going to have to come up with a few more projects and see how much I can make this one dollar stretch.
You with me so far?
My trees live on my centerpiece on my table.
How would you use yours?
A party?
Entry table?
Think I spent too much?
I can’t wait to hear what you have to say!
Love,
Me

Too.Stinking.Cute. Seriously, a really cheap, but don’t look cheap, idea! I actually bought a bag of the white petals yesterday for no good reason other than I liked them 🙂
What a great challenge, and I’m pinning this… I think they came out great! In fact, I foresee a trip to the Dollar Store today!

Far too adorable for words. Seriously. And to NOT use a styrofoam cone? Pure genius! That way you can make any size you want!!! Let’s see…..I think I have $3……DOLLAR STORE, HERE I COME! (you should let them know where to send your percentage for sending them all this business)
How stinkin cute are these trees.I say the more petals the sweeter life is!
Why didn’t I think of this! Love the trees and so easy and inexpensive! You go girl.
Have a great weekend!
